What’s Happened?
The Australian Government has announced the Support at Home and new Aged Care Act Transition Support 2024-25 Grant Opportunity (GO7421). This grant offers a one-off payment of $10,000 (excluding GST) to assist Home Care Package and Commonwealth Home Support Programme providers in upgrading their IT systems. The funding aims to help providers meet new obligations under the Support at Home program and the new Aged Care Act, both commencing on 1 July 2025. Applications are open until 2:00 pm AEDT on 25 February 2025.
Why is this Important?
With significant regulatory and operational changes coming into effect 1 July 2025, having modern, reliable IT systems will be critical for data reporting, compliance, and service delivery.
This grant provides financial support to help providers upgrade their systems, ensuring they can effectively navigate the new reporting and operational requirements of the Support at Home program and the Aged Care Act.
Applying early is essential to secure funding and ensure a smooth transition ahead of the 1 July 2025 implementation date.
