What’s Happened?
From 1 November 2025, the new Act and Strengthened Aged Care Standards come into effect.
From the 01 November 2025, all registered providers will be responsible for complying with the Seven (7) Strengthened Aged Care Standards, relevant to their services. These standards include
Standard 1. The Person
Standard 2. The Organisation
Standard 3. Care and Services
Standard 4. The Environment
Standard 5. Clinical Care
Standard 6. Food and Nutrition
Standard 7. The Residential Community
To comply with the new Strengthened Standards, the following policies and procedures have been updated. These policies and procedures have had new clarifying information added to help with understanding and process, with all new or changed information in blue text.
