Reforms to sex discrimination and workplace laws, introduced in waves since December 2022, have continued to roll out. These include new regulatory powers for the Australian Human Rights Commission to investigate and enforce compliance with the Commonwealth Sex Discrimination Act 1984, which came into effect in December 2023. In addition, additional worker entitlements under the Fair Work Act 2009 commenced on both 30 December 2023 and 1 January 2024.
