Following in the footsteps of the ACT, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, the New South Wales Government has amended its Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 to make it unlawful to vilify a person or group of people on the grounds of religious belief, affiliation, or religious activity. The change took effect in November 2023.
